USS Enterprise (CVN-65) was officially decommissioned and stricken from the Naval Vessel Register on February 3rd 2017 after 55 years of service.
This design is a salute to the The First, The Finest; the Big E and the 8 A2W reactors that powered it.
During USS Enterprise's distinguished service, there were two island configurations. During the 1982 Complex Overhaul, the original island and SCANFAR radar was replaced.
