The Virginia class of nuclear powered cruisers was officially launched in December 1974 and consisted of 4 ships: USS Viginia (CGN-38), USS Texas (CGN-39), USS Mississippi (CGN-40) and USS Arkansas (CGN-41).
USS Arkansas was the last active ship in the class and was decommisioned in July 1998.
